Indigenous Reconciliation and Partnerships

Indigenous reconciliation and partnerships

We respectfully recognize that our employees live and work on the traditional and unceded territories of the many Indigenous nations that have thrived since time immemorial.

Reconciliation with Indigenous peoples is central to our purpose. In addition to doing all we can to advance and implement the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the calls to action forward by Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, we continue to take steps to work with Indigenous peoples and communities to support safety across the province. This includes collaborating around common safety goals and helping to empower local expertise versus simply imposing regulation.

When making ESG decisions we strive to coordinate with our reconciliation strategy in order to develop meaningful and respectful relationship-built programs and initiatives with Indigenous people, organizations, and nations.
