Here are educational materials that we have developed to ensure safety around Railways. Some resources are meant for people who work in and around railways, while other resources are to help educate the general public when they are around railways and railway lines.
Check back on this page as we will develop more reference materials over the coming year.
The purpose of this handbook, developed by the British Columbia Safety Authority: Railway Safety Program, is to make managers and employees of railways operating in the province of British Columbia aware of the consequences of unsafe acts and conditions that can affect the safety of railway employees, the public and the environment.
Please make this handbook available to all railway employees so they may understand and follow the safety principles and recommended best practices for safe railway operations.
